Singh is Kinng has been considered as one of the biggest hits of 2008. His contenders AR Rehman had given impressive music in the films Jodha Akbar, Yuvvraaj and Jaane Tu Ya Janne Na, and Vishal Shekhar had given impressive music in the film Bacchna Aye Haseeno.

Om Puri has the possiblity of getting filmfare award for best supporting actor for Singh is Kinng. He had given a natural performance just like his performance in other films. He had received a number of national and international awards and has been accepted as the best actor of the country along with Nasirruddin Shah. Kiron Kher has the possibility of getting filmfare award for best supporting actress for her decent performance in the film Singh is Kinng.
