The Art of Asheville NC
I have been all over the South and I have yet to see another southern city that support artists and their art like Asheville do.... Art is everywhere you go... Almost every business there has art hanging up... It's on the streets, buildings, stores, everywhere....and I'm not even including the art galleries there... It's an amazing art community... An artist dream... So relaxing and inspiring

A Reminder your in the South..
Asheville has changed a lot... The hippie & lesbian community runs the city now... And the old rednecks now live outside of city limits... most of the black people there live in the projects...
I only seen a few black people in downtown Asheville and they were the ones who hang out with the hippies or visitors from other cities...walking around downtown Asheville is like visiting Haight Street in San Fran... It don't feel like your in the south... Until I walked into this old store and saw these....

Asheville: Old school candy & Ice cream
Man, I LOVE ice cream... If I could I would eat ice cream everyday....after leaving Modesto's for lunch the waiter told me about a place that has the best ice cream & candy... I really don't like candy but when I walked in the store the smell of the place was amazing! You can see candy being made right there in the window...I went to the back and ordered strawberry & peach ice cream....downtown Asheville is a beautiful relaxing place...I will try to make it back home more often
